Emerson had her fourteenth laser treatment today! As always, she anticipated this day with lots of excitement! Luckily, the girl loves her lasers! Actually, I think she loves the attention she gets from Dr. N and her nurse Sue! Emerson has been their favorite patient since she started these treatments at 3yrs old! It was no surprise that Em did a fantastic job today: no fussing, no crying, no whining! She received 232 pulses from the Vbeam laser and gave us nothing but smiles! Sadly (in Em's eyes), this may be one of the last treatments for awhile. We are no longer seeing much fading in her birthmark post treatment. She is scheduled in January for #15. By that time, this treatment will have completely healed and we will know whether or not her port wine faded any more. If no fading occurred, we will forgo #15 and do maintenance treatments as she grows.
