Irony

Soccer games were cancelled last weekend due to wet fields and standing water. It wasn't raining. Hadn't rained for a couple of days. So, when we were in the middle of a down pour and the radar was filled with green, one would have thought that Emerson's game today for sure was cancelled. Nope. Not today. Go figure. Despite the cool and wet conditions, Emerson played a rockin' game! She had four near goals: one hit the post and bounced off, a couple were inches from the outside of the post and one parked itself in front of the goal without going in! Frustration and excitement bundled up together! We are blaming it on the glasses: they were sitting in the car! Em had a blast playing and was covered in mud at the end of the game!

Camden couldn't wait for her game! The girl woke up first thing in the morning and put on all of her soccer attire! She sat on the sidelines under an umbrella cheering on Em's team! We snuck in a quick lunch then headed out to Camden's game. The sun was peaking thru the clouds, no rain was falling, the radar was clear. Confusion set in when we joined the parking lot with only three other cars... hmm. The handy dandy rain-out line said that afternoon games had been cancelled due to wet conditions. Interesting.
